Summer Learning Journey Week 4 - Activities 3

Activity 3: Concluding the Journey [10 points]
Sadly, the Summer Learning Journey has now come to an end. It is time to reflect on everything that you have learned about the environment and, particularly, about how you can protect and preserve it.

On your blog please tell us:

  1. What is one thing that you learned from participating in the Summer Learning Journey programme this year? I have learnt to comment on other people / other schools blog post and also to learn things that I haven't learned about.
  2. What is one thing that surprised you? The one thing that surprised during I was doing the Summer Learning Journey is the Like a Scene out of a Movie.
  3. What is one thing that concerned or upset you? The one thing that upset me was the Air up there Week 3 Day 2.
  4. What is one thing that you (or your family) can do, moving forward, to help protect our natural environment? One thing that we could help the environment is to not let other people litter.

  1. Kia ora Helena,

My name is Megan and I am part of the Summer Learning Journey team working with the students in the Ako Hiko cluster. Congratulations on completing all 60 activities in the Summer Learning Journey. That is an absolutely fantastic effort, you should be proud of yourself. I really loved reading your last activity about what you learnt and enjoyed about the programme. I agree with you. I was quite concerned reading some of the information from 'The Air Up There' week. Especially when reading about the decline in bumblebees. They are a huge part of our environment and are amazing little insects. What did you find the most concerning when working on those activities?

Once again, congratulations on completing the programme.

Have an incredible summer and a happy new year.

    Nga mihi,
    Megan :)
