Summer Learning Journey Day 10

Day 10 – School DaysC:\Users\rwil313\Desktop\School Diary image.jpg
After meeting with the local family yesterday you are inspired to learn more about how people live in different countries. You and your family decide to go out and visit a local market. When you’re there you meet a student who tells you all about what it’s like to go to school in their country. The student also gives you a page from their diary that shows you what a typical school day is like for them.

Activity 1
Think about your school and what you typically do in a day. Compare it with the diary from the German student. What is similar? What is different? In your blog, tell us:
What is similar is 8:00 to 8:45am
what is different is we don't start at 8:00am we start at 9:00am
  1. Whether you would rather go to school in New Zealand or in Germany? I would go school at Germany because Germany might have cool playground to play in.
  2. Why you feel that way? I feel that way because I think that they do great learning to do.
Activity 2
Think about your favourite subject at school. In your blog tell us:
  1. The name of your favourite subject? My favourite subject in school is writing.
  2. Why it is your favourite subject? Why is writing my favourite subject because I like writing down and it makes me write fast.
Bonus Activity
Once you have looked at the other school diary, it is time for you to make one of your own. What do you in a normal school day? Use the template below as a guide and post your own personal ‘Day in the Life of…’

  2. Talofa Helena,

I'm impressed that you would be so keen on trying school in Germany, I think that's awesome! Most people would be quite scared of going to school in another country, but I reckon it would be an amazing experience. I agree with you as well, there would definitely be some awesome learning to do! Plus it would be a great chance to learn a new language :-)

That's pretty cool that you like writing so much. What do you like to write about best? I always enjoyed writing too at school, it's a fun way to express your imagination or what you're thinking.

If you have a chance, I'd love to see if you could attempt the Bonus Activity for Day 10? It would be interesting to see a day in the life of St Pius.

    Cheers!
    Dan.
