Well, the time has now come! School’s out for the holidays and your tour of New Zealand is about to begin. I hope that you are ready and excited! Curious Kiwi certainly is – he can’t wait to start the Great Kiwi Road Trip! Before you all hit the road, let’s take a minute to review some key facts about New Zealand.
Activity 1: Go to the Tourism New Zealand website and click on the ‘Facts - New Zealand People’ tab. Read about the people of New Zealand and then choose three interesting facts to post on your blog. The facts must be written in your own words. Do not simply copy and paste the facts from the website☺.
Three Interesting Facts
1. The kiwis have been discovering and inventing things. Kiwi's have been buildings things like the Hamilton jet boat, bungy jump.
2. For the same reason people from around the world would come to New Zealand to come and do things that Kiwis like such as yachting, kayaking, windsurfing and rowing.
3. As people form around the world they like to is most of the popular places. They like to go and chat at a club,restaurant or at a local market. It is great to go and see others people country.

ReplyDeleteI hope that you are enjoying your 'trip' across New Zealand as you make your way through the WLJ programme. I am really excited to see what you post and to read your activity blogs!
In this activity blog post I enjoyed reading about the reasons that many people come to New Zealand. I would imagine that a lot of our visitors come to experience the out-of-doors. There are a number of adventurous activities that you can do here in NZ, aren't there? You can go tramping, biking, bungy jumping, mountain climbing, boating, etc. Do you enjoy any of these activities?
Personally, I really like to go for long walks in the bush or on the beach but I'm not a huge fan of bungy jumping or mountain climbing. They're a bit too intense for me. What about you?
